Obo is a collaboration project with industrial designer Emily Kwok. We designed and produced this lamp.

Obo is a lamp made entirely of mushroom mycelium. Mycelium is the vegetative part of fungi that grows underground to support the growth of fruiting mushroom bodies. Mycelium particles were incorporated with hemp wood chips, pressed into a 3-D printed mold and grown over a 2-week period to create a solid body that is durable, lightweight, waterproof, fireproof, and 100% biodegradable.
